About This Song
About "Christmas Oratorio, BWV 248, Part III: VIII. Schließe, mein Herze, dies selige Wunder" by Annelies Burmeister
Burmeister cradles Bach’s “Schließe, mein Herze” with a mother’s tenderness, the strings of the orchestra like soft rain on a window. The wonder is immense yet intimate, a heart locking away a miracle while the world outside remains cold and unknowing.
