People Are Pills

Easy come and easy go
Funny how money stops conversation flow
Friends are a road I can't always follow

Embers barely hold a glow
Who would've thought a fire could become so cold?
People are pills I can't always swallow

Knowing yes, but saying no
How can somebody so easily change tone?
You beg and you steal, but you never borrow
