About "Salut d'Amour, Op. 12" by Kathryn Stott
Elgar’s Salut d’Amour is a love letter read aloud in a sunlit parlor. Stott’s piano is all polite charm, but the cello’s warm vibrato adds a blush of earnestness. It’s romance without irony—a Victorian valentine that, in this arrangement, feels both nostalgic and disarmingly sincere.
