About This Song
About "Orlando, HWV 31 / Act 1 : Handel: Orlando, HWV 31 / Act 1 - No. 7 Acc. "Quanto diletto" - Rec. "Io non so" - No. 8 Acc e Rec. "Itene pur"" by Bejun Mehta
A recitative and accompagnato sequence from Handel’s Orlando, where delight gives way to disquiet. Mehta navigates the shifting ground between ‘Quanto diletto’ and ‘Itene pur’ with quicksilver nuance. The orchestra murmurs, then stings—a mind beginning to fracture.
