About This Song
About "Humoreske, Op. 20 : Schumann: Humoreske, Op. 20 - 5. Sehr lebhaft" by Bella Davidovich
The fifth Humoreske movement bristles with 'sehr lebhaft' urgency—Davidovich's fingers dart like startled birds, each phrase a sharp intake of breath. Schumann's wit cuts against a current of unease, joy and anxiety locked in a breathless waltz.
