About This Song
About "In The Thick Of It" by Brenda Russell
Brenda Russell wades into a dense, syncopated funk, her voice cutting through like a beacon. 'In the Thick of It' captures the claustrophobia of emotional entanglement—tight horns, restless bass, and the sense of being swallowed by a situation you can’t quite name.
