About "Goin' Home Baby (Alternate)" by Big Maybelle
This alternate take of 'Goin' Home Baby' finds Big Maybelle in a restless, playful mood. The groove is a locomotive gaining steam, her voice a whistle in the dark. It's less a journey home and more a celebration of the road itself—a kinetic, horn-driven shuffle that swings with the abandon of a Saturday night and the promise of Sunday morning.
