About This Song
About "Jhalla Wallah" by Amit Trivedi
A brash, brass-heavy stomp that swaggers with theatrical defiance. Trivedi builds a wall of sound around a commanding vocal, the rhythm section locking into a gritty, syncopated groove. There's a delicious tension between the song's celebratory surface and a darker, almost menacing undertow—a party on the edge of a cliff.
