About "3 Waltzes, Op. 34 : Chopin: 3 Waltzes, Op. 34: II. Lento in A Minor" by Hélène Grimaud
Grimaud lets this Lento waltz unfold like a memory of a dance that never quite happened. The A-minor melancholy is gentle but persistent, each phrase turning inward. There's a tension between the waltz's expected lilt and the music's refusal to fully lift, leaving a beautiful, unresolved sigh.
