About This Song
About "Castillos de España I : Moreno Torroba: Castillos de España I: IV. Montemayor (Romance de los pinos)" by Andrés Segovia
Moreno Torroba paints a castle on a hill, and Segovia walks its ramparts. 'Montemayor' is a romance of pine trees and stone, its melody unfolding like a landscape seen from a tower. The guitar’s resonance suggests vast, empty halls—beauty haunted by the footsteps of those long gone.
