About This Song
About "Suite from The Threepenny Opera: Overture (Arr. for Brass Quintet)" by Center City Brass Quintet
The overture to Weill's 'Threepenny Opera' arrives in brass quintet form, its jaunty, cynical melody now gleaming with a different kind of irony. The arrangement captures the original's streetwise swagger while adding a polished, concert-hall sheen—a tension between grit and refinement that feels perfectly, deliberately unresolved.
