About This Song
About "Le Deserteur, Act III Scene 10: Adieu, chere Louise (Alexis)" by Ann Monoyios
Alexis’s farewell to Louise is a soldier’s quiet surrender, Monoyios shaping the line like a letter folded and refolded. The melody’s tender ornamentation feels like a hand slipping from a grip—warm, resigned, and already gone.
