About "Stravinsky: Mass, K77: I. Kyrie" by City Of London Sinfonia
The Kyrie of Stravinsky’s Mass is no comfort—it’s a cold, clear window. Choir and winds circle each other in austere counterpoint, each plea stripped to bone. The emotional tension: reverence without warmth, a ritual performed in winter light.
