About This Song
About "Nabucco / Act I : Verdi: Nabucco / Act I: D'Egitto là sui lidi" by Chor Der Deutschen Oper Berlin
Verdi's exile chorus yearns for lost homeland: 'D'Egitto là sui lidi' drifts like a mirage over desert sand. The voices swell with nostalgic ache, memory and longing braided into a single, trembling line.
