About This Song
About "Wakidiki" by Afric Simone
A rubbery bassline and clipped guitar create a limber, hypnotic strut. Simone's vocal is a playful incantation, circling a rhythm that feels both celebratory and slightly unhinged—a dance for the sake of dancing, with no destination in sight.
