About This Song
About "My Devotion" by Charlie Parker Quintet
'My Devotion' is a ballad of restrained ardor, Parker's alto floating above a pillowy rhythm section. The melody unfurls like a letter read by candlelight—sincere, slightly frayed at the edges. Devotion here isn't grand; it's the quiet ache of staying.
