Piano Concerto No. 2 in B-Flat Major, Op. 19 : Beethoven: Piano Concerto No. 2 in B-Flat Major, Op. 19: I. Allegro con brio

About "Piano Concerto No. 2 in B-Flat Major, Op. 19 : Beethoven: Piano Concerto No. 2 in B-Flat Major, Op. 19: I. Allegro con brio" by Alexander Lonquich

Beethoven's youthful concerto bursts open with brash confidence, Lonquich attacking the Allegro con brio with coiled energy. The piano sparkles against orchestral weight, a conversation of wit and swagger. There's a restless ambition here—the composer's early voice straining against classical bounds, bright and impatient.
