About This Song
About "Pièces de clavecin (1724), Suite in E Minor, RCT 2 : Rameau: Pièces de clavecin (1724), Suite in E Minor, RCT 2: IV. Le rappel des oiseaux (Arr. Kempff for Piano)" by Wilhelm Kempff
Rameau's bird call, arranged for piano, becomes a flock of tiny hammers: trills and grace notes scatter like startled wings. Kempff finds the mechanical charm beneath the feathers, a music box that remembers the forest.
