About "Bach, JS: Toccata and Fugue in D Minor, BWV 565: Fugue (Transcr. Busoni for Piano)" by Alexis Weissenberg
Busoni's piano transcription turns Bach's fugue into a cathedral of sound. Weissenberg builds the counterpoint with architectural clarity, but the pedal and touch add a Romantic gloom—order and grandeur wrestling with a dark, restless undertow, as if the organ's ghost haunts the keyboard.
