About "Cantata, BWV 197 "Gott ist unsere Zuversicht" : J.S. Bach: Cantata, BWV 197 "Gott ist unsere Zuversicht": Aria "Vergnügen und Lust" (Soprano)" by Christine Schäfer
In this aria from BWV 197, Schäfer sings of 'Vergnügen und Lust' with radiant assurance. The Baroque lines sparkle like sunlight on water, yet beneath the joy lies a subtle awareness of transience. It's a celebration that knows its own fragility, making the pleasure all the more poignant.
