About "Transcendence" by Alice Coltrane
A slow, ascending organ figure opens a portal to the sublime, Coltrane's harp and strings dissolving into a wash of cosmic jazz. The title's promise is fulfilled in waves of serene dissonance, the calm surface hiding a deep, searching turbulence. Music as a ladder to elsewhere.
