About "Christ lag in Todes Banden, BWV 4, "Easter Cantata": III. Versus 3. Solo. Jesus Christus, Gottes Sohn. Allegro (Tenor)" by Charles Daniels

A tenor solo from Bach's Easter cantata crackles with Baroque urgency. Charles Daniels navigates the allegro line like a herald bursting from the tomb, each phrase a bright shaft of light cutting through Lutheran solemnity. The tension between liturgical gravity and joyful motion makes this a miniature resurrection.
