About "Argippo, RV 697 / Act 1 : Vivaldi: Argippo, RV 697 / Act 1 - "Se lento ancora il fulmine"" by Cecilia Bartoli
Vivaldi’s Argippo aria finds Bartoli in a mood of simmering restraint. The slow-burning melody, like a thunderbolt held in check, trembles with latent power. She shapes each line as if testing the air before a storm, the tension between patience and eruption beautifully calibrated.
