About This Song
About "Wasn'T It You" by Billie Davis
A chiming, beat-group gem, 'Wasn't It You' pairs jangly guitars with Davis's clear, questioning tone. The song is a post-mortem of a moment, its brightness masking a bruised confusion. The tension is in the unresolved chord: a smile that doesn't quite reach the eyes, asking a question no one wants to answer.
