About This Song
About "I Don't Wanna Die In An Air Disaster" by Albert Hammond
A wry, uneasy meditation on mortality wrapped in a gentle melody. Hammond’s narrator fears the sky’s sudden violence, not the quiet end—a darkly comic tension between everyday calm and catastrophic imagination. The song hums like a plane engine you can’t stop hearing, turning a fear of flying into a fear of living.
