About This Song
About "Coates / Arr Dankworth : Afterglow" by Chanticleer
Afterglow drifts in like dusk settling over water, Dankworth's arrangement giving Chanticleer a languid, jazzy shimmer. The voices blur into a soft-focus haze, warmth and melancholy inseparable. It's the moment after the sun dips—calm, but shadowed by the knowledge that the light is already gone.
