About "Langlais: Missa Salve Regina: V. Agnus Dei" by Andrew Lumsden
Agnus Dei: the Lamb of God, but Langlais paints it not as pastoral meekness but as a stark, modern plea. The organ's reeds bite; the choir's unison feels exposed. Lumsden balances liturgical solemnity with a quiet, dissonant ache—mercy asked for in a room where the walls seem to be closing in.
