About This Song
About "Lucia di Lammermoor : Donizetti: Lucia di Lammermoor: "Fra poco a me ricovero"" by Benjamin Bernheim
Donizetti’s 'Fra poco a me ricovero' is a deathbed aria, Bernheim’s tenor pale as moonlight on stone. The piano offers a funeral march’s pulse, while the voice hovers between resignation and a flicker of protest—a candle guttering in a draft, calm on the surface, frantic within.
