About This Song
About "Slaughter" by Billy Preston
On 'Slaughter,' Preston unleashes a furious, percussive funk assault. The title is apt: sharp horn stabs and a relentless beat create a sense of chaotic urgency, as if the band is tearing through the song with reckless abandon. It's a rare glimpse of Preston's darker, more aggressive side.
