About "It’s My Funk (Smoove’s P-Funk Disco Remix)" by Afrika Bambaataa
Smoove recasts Bambaataa's funk as a mirrorball fever dream, where rubbery basslines stretch like taffy under strobe lights. The tension between sweaty release and robotic precision keeps the groove restless, a disco machine that never quite powers down.
