About This Song
About "Country Theme" by Angelo Badalamenti
Country Theme is Badalamenti's pastoral reverie, all loping guitar and wide-open reverb. It's a horizon line at dusk, peaceful yet faintly ominous—like a field where something once happened. The simplicity is deceptive; beneath the calm, a low drone suggests the earth itself is holding its breath.
