About "Tannhäuser: Ouvertüre" by Chor Der Bayerischen Staatsoper
The Tannhäuser overture unfurls like a cathedral door opening onto a storm. The chorus enters as both congregation and tempest, Wagner's brass and strings colliding in sacred-versus-profane tension. It's a pilgrimage and a seduction at once—majestic, unsettled, and trembling with imminent revelation.
