About "Fauré: Après un rêve, Op. 7 No. 1 (Orch. Dubenskij)" by Boston Symphony Orchestra
Fauré’s dream-song, orchestrated into a slow-motion sigh. The Boston Symphony floats the melody like a paper lantern over dark water—each phrase a gentle pull toward waking. There is tenderness here, but also the ache of a vision dissolving; beauty held just long enough to feel its loss.
