About "Jolivet : Suite liturgique : VI Benedictus" by André Jolivet
The Benedictus from Jolivet's liturgical suite glows with a stained-glass hush, yet the serenity feels hard-won. Voices or instruments (depending on arrangement) intone a blessing that hovers between devotion and modernist shadow—a luminous surface over a deep, questioning undertow.
