About This Song
About "Jolivet: Flute Concerto: I. Andante cantabile - II. Allegro scherzando" by André Jolivet
The flute concerto opens with a cantabile that floats like a feather on a thermal, then snaps into an allegro scherzando full of darting, insect-wing wit. Jolivet balances lyrical warmth against puckish disruption—a serene glide interrupted by sudden, grinning jolts of rhythmic mischief.
