About "Don John of Austria, Act I Scene 5: Trio. Don John, Stay Your Steps for a While (Arr. Charles Mackerras. Live.)" by Alexander Briger
In this live trio from Don John of Austria, Alexander Briger draws out a stately plea. The arrangement by Charles Mackerras lends a ceremonial weight, strings and voices entwined like ivy on stone. Beneath the poise, a restless urgency flickers—a royal command that trembles with human doubt.
