About "What Is This Thing Called Love" by Lollo Meier
What Is This Thing Called Love becomes a question mark drawn in guitar strings. Meier circles the melody with tender, probing phrases, never quite landing on an answer. The tension between longing and bewilderment gives this standard a fresh, searching ache.
