About This Song
About "Kinderszenen, Op. 15 : Schumann: Kinderszenen, Op. 15: VII. Träumerei" by Alfred Brendel
Schumann's 'Träumerei' is a dream half-remembered: Brendel plays it with a hushed, floating tone, as if tiptoeing through a nursery at dusk. The melody is a music box winding down, sweet and slightly out of reach—comforting, yet edged with the ache of things that cannot last.
