About "Spiritual Eternal" by Alice Coltrane
Coltrane's Wurlitzer and harp lock into a groove both earthy and astral, the title's paradox made flesh. Spiritual jazz here is a river of repetition, its calm surface rippling with unease and sudden, ecstatic bursts. A timeless, searching hymn for the eternal now.
