About This Song
About "Shake" by The Gap Band
The Gap Band's 'Shake' is pure funk propulsion: a bassline that walks with a strut, horns that punch like brass knuckles, and a chorus that demands movement. The tension is all in the restraint—the groove locks so tight you feel the pressure building, a coiled spring of rhythm ready to snap into ecstatic release.
