About "Nulla in mundo pax, RV 630 : Vivaldi: Nulla in mundo pax, RV 630: I. Nulla in mundo pax sincera" by Andrea Marcon
The opening motet of Vivaldi's 'Nulla in mundo pax' begins with a paradox: a plea for peace that sounds anything but serene. The soprano line floats above a restless continuo, sweet and unsettled. Marcon teases out the tension between the text's longing and the music's quiet agitation.
