About "Carmina Burana / 2. In Taberna : Orff: Carmina Burana / 2. In Taberna: "Estuans interius"" by Bernd Weikl
In the tavern, 'Estuans interius' roars from Weikl’s chest like a fire fed by wine and self-loathing. Orff’s brutal rhythm stamps the floorboards; the abbot’s confession becomes a drinking song. Here, penitence and excess are the same pounding pulse.
