About "This Time The Dream's On Me" by Cecil Payne
Cecil Payne’s baritone saxophone curls like smoke through a half-lit jazz club. The title’s promise of a dream carries a bittersweet hesitation—each note balances hope against the knowing ache of waking. A tender, unhurried swing that lingers in the air long after the last chord fades.
