About "String Quintet No. 1 in F Major, Op. 88 : Brahms: String Quintet No. 1 in F Major, Op. 88: I. Allegro non troppo, ma con brio" by Amadeus Quartet

Brahms's Allegro non troppo, ma con brio opens with a sweeping gesture—F-major confidence with a furrowed brow. The Amadeus Quartet balances swagger and tenderness, the quintet's extra viola thickening the weave. It's calm authority under pressure: a river moving fast beneath a smooth surface, beauty with a stubborn pulse.
