About "When I Saw Her" by Alexander Skancke
Skancke renders a fleeting encounter as a slow-motion epiphany: warm Rhodes chords bloom like light through a doorway, while a clipped drum loop ticks with nervous anticipation. The tension between longing and restraint gives this house cut its bittersweet, almost cinematic pull.
