About "Air On The G String" by Charles Gerhardt
Bach's Air, lifted from its original context and bathed in orchestral velvet. Gerhardt stretches the melody like a long, slow breath, the famous G-string line suspended over a walking bass. There's a tender unease here—a lullaby that knows it's being overheard.
