About This Song
About "Perché Simona?" by Ennio Morricone
Morricone's piano asks 'why?' with a gentle insistence, each chord a door opening onto a dimly lit room. The melody is tender but troubled, a lullaby with a secret. Simona's name becomes a haunting refrain, beautiful and unresolved.
