About This Song
About "Josquin des Prez: Huc me sydereo / Plangent cum à 5" by Charles Daniels
Josquin's motet 'Huc me sydereo' suspends time with cascading polyphony. The five voices entwine like ivy around a stone cross, each line sighing toward the divine. Charles Daniels navigates this Renaissance labyrinth with a purity that turns sorrow into something luminous.
