About This Song
About "Warico" by Cheikh Lô
'Warico' bristles with a coiled energy, its rhythm a knot tightening and loosening. Cheikh Lô layers plucked guitar against a loping beat, the title itself a cryptic mantra. There's a tension between the song's swaying warmth and a shadowed urgency, like sunlight breaking through a dust storm.
