About This Song
About "Baaba" by Baaba Maal
A self-titled invocation, 'Baaba' feels like a homecoming. The rhythm is circular, almost ritualistic, while the vocal line reaches outward with a quiet urgency. Calm and restlessness entwine—a fire tended carefully, never allowed to fully blaze or die.
